Overview
Pick 3 is Illinois’s three-digit daily numbers game. Pick three digits from 0–9 and a play style (Straight, Box, Combo, Front/Back Pair, and more). Midday and evening drawings run daily at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. CT. Optional plus FIREBALL doubles the wager for more ways to win.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 3 numbers
Choose 3 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Select 1 bonus number
Choose 1 bonus number from 0 to 9. This ball is drawn separately from the main numbers.
3. Choose play style and wager
Straight matches exact order. Box wins in any order. Wagers typically range from $0.50 to $5.
4. Add plus FIREBALL (optional)
FIREBALL doubles the cost and creates extra combinations by replacing one drawn digit with the FIREBALL number.
5. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
