Overview
Pick 4 is Iowa’s four-digit numbers game. Choose four digits from 0–9, a play type and a wager from 50¢ up to $5. A $1 Straight pays $6,000 (1 in 10,000). Drawings are twice a day: Midday at about 12:20 p.m. CT and Evening at about 10:00 p.m. CT.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 4 numbers
Choose 4 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Choose your play type
Straight (exact order), Box (any order), Straight/Box (from $1), Front Pair (first two digits) or Back Pair (last two digits).
3. Pick Midday, Evening or both
Sales close at noon for Midday and at 9:40 p.m. for Evening. Check the multi-draw box to play up to 16 consecutive drawings.
4. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
