Overview
Pick 5 is Louisiana’s five-digit numbers game. Choose five digits from 0–9, a play type and a 50¢ or $1 wager. A $1 Straight pays $50,000 (1 in 100,000). Drawings are every day at 9:59 p.m. CT, except Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 5 numbers
Choose 5 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Choose your play type
Straight (exact order), Box (any order), Straight/Box ($1: 50¢ Straight + 50¢ Box), or Front/Back plays on the first or last two, three or four digits in exact order.
3. Play up to 14 drawings
Multidraw covers up to 14 consecutive drawings, and Advance Play starts up to six days ahead.
4. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
