Overview
Bonus Match 5 is Maryland’s nightly 5/39 game with a separate Bonus Ball drawn from the same 1–39 pool. Pick five numbers on each board ($1 minimum per board; up to nine boards per $6 ticket). Match five, four, or three main numbers — or fewer when the Bonus Ball helps — to win fixed prizes up to $50,000.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 5 numbers
Choose 5 numbers from 1 to 39, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Select 1 bonus number
Choose 1 bonus number from 1 to 39. This ball is drawn separately from the main numbers.
3. Multi-board ticket pricing
One board costs $1; three boards $2, four boards $3, six boards $4, seven boards $5, or all nine boards for $6. Multiply boards by the number of drawing days you select.
4. Choose how many drawings
Pay $1 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
