Overview
Maryland Pick 5 is a five-digit daily numbers game (00000–99999). Choose Straight or Box, or play Front/Back Pair, Front/Back 3, or Front/Back 4 partial matches. Wager 50¢ or $1 per panel. Drawings are twice daily — midday and evening. Pick 5 does not offer Straight & Box or Combo bets.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 5 numbers
Choose 5 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Box ways and partial matches
Box play types range from 5-way through 120-way depending on repeating digits. Front 3, Back 3, Front 4, and Back 4 let you match only part of the winning number in exact order.
3. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
