How to Play Pick-4

Overview

Pick-4 is New Jersey’s four-digit daily numbers game. Pick four digits from 0–9 with Straight, Box, Wheel, Pair, or Straight/Box play types. Midday and evening drawings run daily. Optional FIREBALL doubles the wager for more combinations.

How to play — step by step

1. 1. Select 4 numbers

   Choose 4 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.

2. 2. Select 1 bonus number

   Choose 1 bonus number from 0 to 9. This ball is drawn separately from the main numbers.

3. 3. Choose a bet type

   Straight is exact order. Box covers any order. Wheel plays every Straight permutation. Pair bets cover Front or Back pairs.

4. 4. Add FIREBALL (optional)

   FIREBALL doubles the cost and lets the FIREBALL digit replace one of the drawn numbers for additional wins.

5. 5. Choose how many drawings

   Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
