Overview
Win 4 is New York’s four-digit game, drawn twice a day at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET. Pick four digits from 0–9 and a play type: Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combination, or Pair. A play costs 50¢ or $1. A Straight hit pays $2,500 on 50¢ and $5,000 on $1, at odds of 1 in 10,000.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 4 numbers
Choose 4 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Pick a play type
Straight is exact order. Box is any order, and the odds depend on repeated digits: 24-way 1 in 417, 12-way 1 in 833, 6-way 1 in 1,667, 4-way 1 in 2,500. Straight/Box pays both on an exact match, and Combination covers every Straight arrangement.
3. Or bet a pair
Front Pair or Back Pair matches the first or last two digits in order, at 1 in 100 for $25 on a 50¢ play or $50 on $1.
4. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
