Official release

A Missouri Lottery player bought a “Black Diamond” Scratchers ticket at Saver Food, 1616 E. 63rd St. in Kansas City, and uncovered one of the game’s $1 million top prizes.

“It’s my favorite ticket,” she shared.

When asked what plans she had for her winnings, she said she wants to purchase a house and fulfill her grandkids’ requests.

“One of my grandkids asked for a new phone, and one asked for ice!” she chuckled.

“Black Diamond” players have won more than $11.3 million in prizes since the game was released in late July. Currently, there are over $23.3 million in unclaimed prizes, including one additional top prize of $1 million and three $50,000 prizes.

In FY26, Jackson County players won more than $94.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $19.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
