$50,000 POWERBALL WINNER AS JACKPOTS CONTINUE DUELING
Charleston, W.Va. – Lottery excitement continues with national draw games in a jackpot duel and a $50,000 winning ticket from Saturday’s drawing. Powerball sits at an estimated $633 million for Monday night’s drawing, and Mega Millions is slated at $800 million for Tuesday.
The $50,000 winning ticket was sold at Bogey’s Carryout & Hot Spot on Washington Avenue in Wheeling, and matched four numbers plus the Power Ball, but the Power Play was not purchased. The holder(s) of this ticket is encouraged to sign the back and call the West Virginia Lottery at 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim.
“First off, congratulations to our winner. Always check those tickets, and always check your hiding places for those tickets, Acting Director David Bradley said and added, “Anytime these draw games duel, it is always so exciting to watch. These high jackpots bring an electric atmosphere to the lottery world, but also help with proceeds to continue beautifying and benefitting our state. However, we always want to encourage smart and responsible play as well.”
Although no tickets matched all six numbers for the jackpot Saturday, six players across six states came within one number of winning the grand prize and each won $1 million. Monday has an estimated cash value of $277.3 million in its 37th drawing in the current jackpot run, last being hit on May 2 where two tickets split a $20 million prize.
Mega Millions has grown to its largest jackpot since November of 2025, and has an estimated cash value of $344.2 million. Tuesday’s Mega drawing will be the 38th in the current jackpot run, where the last three drawings have each resulted in over $9 million in prizes across all nine tiers. The $800 million prize remains 10th for all-time Mega Millions jackpots.
Powerball tickets can be purchased for $2 apiece, or $3 with the Powerplay option, which increases non-jackpot prizes. Mega Millions tickets cost $5 to play and each play purchased is given a random multiplier for non-jackpot prizes. All tickets must by purchased by 9:59m on the date of the game’s drawing.
