COLUMBIA, SC (September 24, 2026) – A Conway man is starting his own business after winning $200,000 on a lottery scratch-off.
The winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials it was his first time buying a $5 scratch-off. And it was a lucky move.
“I like the $10 and $20 tickets,” he said. “I never buy $5 tickets, but I had a $5 bill, so I bought one.”
He picked out the winning Super Loteria ticket at the Sunhouse #7 on Hwy. 905 in Conway. And since cashing in the ticket he’s been making plans and purchases for his new business.
“I haven’t broken a smile over the win yet, I’ve been too busy,” he said.
The odds of winning $200,000 in the $5 Super Loteria game are 1 in 810,000. One more top prize remains in the game.
For selling the claimed ticket, Sunhouse #7 in Conway received a commission of $2,000.
