COLUMBIA, SC (October 2, 2026) – A Lowcountry man was so confident in his Pick 4 number selection that he played it 50 times.
And his hunch was right. He won a total of $250,000 in the Pick 4 evening drawing on August 18.
“I felt lucky,” the winner, who does not wish to be identified, told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
He played 0-5-0-0 on 50 tickets for $1 each purchased from convenience stores in Summerville. All of the tickets were played straight at odds of 1 in 10,000.
“I probably won’t play those numbers anymore,” he said. “I’m not lucky enough for that to ever happen again.”
