HUBER HEIGHTS, OH – Kimberlin and her husband Brian dreamed of winning the lottery and came up with a plan and a code word that they agreed to use if they won. “Meet me at Frickers.”

Well, all that went out the window when Kimberlin actually won. She purchased four Ohio Lottery Black Titanium Scratch-Offs and was stunned to see that she won $40,0000/year for 25 years. Instead of calling her husband with the code word, she could barely talk, which made him think she was in an accident. She finally blurted out, “I just scratched a million dollars!”

Brian truly feels that his wife manifested this win. She always told him, “I want to win for YOU.” She would always say, “I don’t need to be rich, I just want to pay off the house and take pressure off” of him because of his long hours at work.

And she did just that! After her life-changing win, she looked in the mirror and said, “You did it girl!” She beat the overall odds of winning of 1 in 3.54 and turned a $10 scratch-off into a $1 million win.

Now that it’s been a few days, our lucky lady says, “Everything is more fun!” since her win.

The couple opted for the lump sum payment instead of the annuity, so they will receive $366,625 after mandatory 26.75% state and federal taxes are withheld.

Ironically, they were just looking at houses the day before her big win. This windfall will help them in getting their very own “Lottery Dream House” with a little more space for their family.

This wasn’t the first time Kimberlin was lucky. She once won $10,000 playing penny slots at their local casino.

While they didn’t “meet at Frickers,” they did go there later that night to celebrate.

As of October 23, 2026, there are still three grand prizes of $40,000/year for 25 years remaining.

The winning ticket was purchased at Meijer #241 located at 7150 Executive Blvd. in Huber Heights, a suburb of Dayton.
