Friday’s Mega Million Jackpot an Est. $277 Million
FLOWOOD, MISS. — A little bit of luck can go a long way, and Mississippi Powerball players are proving it: Wednesday night’s $50,000 win for a Moss Point player marks the sixth $50,000 Powerball prize won in Mississippi since July 1. The winning ticket was purchased at Midway Food Mart in Moss Point. There’s just one “what if” attached to this big win: the player did not add the $1 Power Play option, which carried a 5X multiplier Wednesday night and would have turned the $50,000 prize into $250,000.
That’s a $200,000 difference for a $1 add-on, proving the power of an extra dollar. With no jackpot winner in Wednesday night’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot climbs to an estimated $360 million for Saturday, Sept. 26 with an estimated cash value of $153.6 million.
The growing Powerball jackpot gives Mississippi players another chance to dream big when the winning numbers are drawn Saturday night.
Jackpot Update
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $277 million with an estimated cash value of $117.3 million. Saturday’s Lotto America jackpot is an estimated $5.32 million with an estimated cash value of $2.27 million. Millionaire for Life draws every night, giving players the chance to win $1 million every year for life.
