Official release
Cranston, RI (September 8, 2026) – The new weekly draw game developed in partnership between Powerball and the NFL, Powerball Xs & Os™, kicks off today.
Powerball Xs & Os™ puts a football spin on the draw game format. Lottery players select eight team logos from a lineup of all 32 NFL teams. Then, eight winning team logos are drawn at random every Sunday night at 10 p.m. ET, beginning on September 13, 2026. Players win cash prizes for matching four or more team logos. The rolling cash jackpot, which starts at $1 million, is awarded for matching all eight team logos. Results are randomly drawn and not based on, determined by, or dependent on the outcome of NFL games.
Additionally, every Powerball Xs & Os™ ticket can be entered at www.PowerballOfficial.com to earn points in the new national Powerball promotional prize program. Those points open the door to exclusive drawings for prizes, including NFL Shop gift cards, unique NFL experiences, and a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LIX. Fans can allocate their entries to the prizes they want most. Prizes will be added regularly, and there’s no extra cost to enter besides the purchase of a ticket.
Each Powerball Xs & Os ticket costs $5 to play. Tickets can be purchased at any Rhode Island Lottery Retailer, on the Rhode Island Lottery website, www.RILot.com, or on the Lottery’s mobile app.
