From earning an accounting degree while working full-time to building a successful career serving Wyoming businesses, Krysten McCabe has built her career through determination and hard work. Now, she is bringing that experience to WyoLotto as the organization's new chief financial officer after joining the team in July.

“Wyoming is my home. I was raised here, and I am now raising my family here, so I cannot think of a better way to serve the great people of Wyoming than to help generate revenue for the state,” said McCabe.

McCabe served as a tax accountant for nearly a decade, along with management experience, while pursuing continued education.

"Krysten's financial expertise, strategic mindset and collaborative leadership make her an outstanding addition to WyoLotto's executive team. As we continue to build on our mission of responsibly maximizing revenue for Wyoming's cities, towns, and counties, we're excited to welcome a leader who shares our commitment to accountability, innovation, and public service,” said Jon Clontz, WyoLotto CEO.

“WyoLotto has earned a reputation for fiscal responsibility and operational excellence. I'm excited to contribute to that legacy by helping position the organization for continued success while ensuring every decision reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the people of Wyoming,” McCabe added.

WyoLotto transfers to Wyoming at least 75 percent of net income each quarter to the State Treasurer per state statute. Those dollars are then distributed to all of Wyoming’s cities, towns and counties based on sales. Since the launch of the lottery in 2014, WyoLotto has given back over $47 million in transfers, another $165 million in winnings to players, and more than $24 million to retailers in commissions.
