Official release

A Show Me Cash player in Christian County has claimed a $153,000 jackpot prize from the July 4 drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at Spokane Super Stop, 153 Calabash Drive, in Spokane.

The winner explained he had decided to buy the ticket on a whim during Independence Day weekend.

“It wasn’t regular; we just bought it,” he said.

“I scanned it two or three weeks after (the drawing), and it said, ‘Claim at the Lottery Office,’” he recalled.

He pocketed the ticket with the intention of claiming it later, not knowing it contained a $153,000 prize. He didn’t claim the prize until randomly checking the ticket again — more than three months later. The winning numbers for the July 4 Show Me Cash drawing were 5, 12, 13, 15 and 26. Drawings are held daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won.

In FY26, Christian County players won more than $9.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $959,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
