Friday’s Mega Millions Jackpot Jumps to $463 Million; Powerball and LOTTO Jackpots Surge for Weekend Draws

As the weekend approaches, three draw game jackpots are on the verge of big milestones.

Friday night, the Mega Millions® jackpot is $463 million. At nearly $500 million, it is the game’s third-highest jackpot of the year, following the $536 million jackpot claimed in March and the $803 million jackpot claimed in July.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. Tickets cost $5 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 9:45 p.m. To win the jackpot, a player must match all five numbers drawn, plus the Mega Ball® number. With the built-in multiplier, players could win between $10 and $10 million in non-jackpot prizes.

On Saturday night, Arkansas lottery players can take a chance on the $760 million Powerball® jackpot. The current jackpot run follows a $1.04 billion jackpot claimed in August. Powerball recorded its largest back-to-back jackpot runs last year, when an Arkansas lottery player won $1.817 billion in December, following the $1.787 billion jackpot claimed in September. Another Arkansas lottery player won the $250.8 million jackpot in March of this year.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on draw nights.

Played and won exclusively in Arkansas, the LOTTO jackpot is also $2.955 million for Saturday night’s drawing. Nearing the $3 million threshold, it remains the game’s second-highest jackpot since its launch in 2022. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. Once won, the jackpot will reset to $250,000 and increase with each subsequent drawing.
