He said that he likes to play PICK 3 and scratch-offs and has won small amounts throughout the years. But nothing prepared him for this win.
He purchased the ticket at Wintersville Food Mart located at 1088 Cadiz Rd. in Wintersville and went out to his car to play. It’s a good thing he was sitting down because he was in for a surprise. When he first scratched it off, he wasn’t wearing his glasses, so he couldn’t tell what he had won. Once he put them on, he started shaking.
He went back into the store and got his ticket validated, then he went to see his daughter at work. At first, she thought something terrible had happened, but when she realized why he was there, she started crying tears of joy.
After 26.75% mandatory state and federal taxes are withheld, he will receive $366,625.
