iPLAY HAS $150,000 WIN DURING POWERBALL JACKPOT CLIMB
Charleston, W.Va. – A $150,000 Powerball ticket purchased through the West Virginia Lottery iPlay app highlighted Wednesday’s drawing, but with no perfect tickets, the jackpot grows to an estimated $600 million ($262.8 million cash value) for Saturday’s drawing.
The ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball to reach the $50,000 prize tier, and automatically tripled after the Power Play option was also purchased. Power Plays increase non-jackpot prizes with a randomly drawn multiplier right before the six numbers each drawing.
This marks the second Powerball win of $50,000 or more on the state’s iLottery app, but tickets can also be purchased at any licensed West Virginia Lottery retailer. Powerball tickets costs $2 apiece, or $3 with the Power Play option, and must be purchased by 9:59pm the date of the draw. Players can also purchase tickets digitally through the app by downloading from the App Store or Google Play and creating an account.
The winner of this ticket can start the initial claim through their iPlay account and then complete the process at West Virginia Lottery headquarters. For more information on how to claim, call 304-558-0500.
