NASHVILLE—It’s game time! Just in time for football season comes Powerball Xs & Os, a new drawing-style game from the Tennessee Lottery that launches today, Sept. 8. The first weekly drawing for a rolling jackpot and other cash prizes will be Sunday, Sept. 13, at 9 p.m. CT.
“Football fans and lottery fans alike will love this new game, which combines two popular brands for a chance to win cash and other promotional prizes such as NFL trips and merchandise,” said Rebecca Paul, President and CEO of the Lottery. “Bringing Tennessee fresh and fun new games helps raise more dollars for the valuable education programs we fund, so we’re especially excited about today’s game launch.”
To play Powerball Xs & Os, players select eight NFL team logos from a line-up of all 32 NFL teams. Winning team logos will be drawn every Sunday night throughout the year. Powerball Xs & Os results are randomly drawn and not based on, determined by, or dependent on the outcome of NFL games.
Match all eight of the team logos randomly drawn to win the rolling cash jackpot, which starts at $1 million. There are four additional ways to win cash prizes in the drawing, which range from $7 – $20,000. Tickets are $5 per play, and the overall odds to win a prize are 1 in 12.
In addition to the Sunday night drawings for cash prizes, the game has a promotional prize feature that allows players to enter their tickets at www.PowerballOfficial.com for a chance to win exclusive prizes such as NFL merchandise, gift cards, experiential trips to the NFL draft, NFL combine and the Super Bowl.
