CLEVELAND – While nobody won Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot, the Buckeye State has some big wins to celebrate. Two men almost won the top prize when they matched four out of five numbers plus the Power Ball in two recent drawings.
They may have missed the jackpot by one number, but their $50,000 prizes turned into $100,000 thanks to the 2X Power Play.
A man from Waynesburg in Stark County won on October 7, 2026. The winning numbers were 11-13-14-21-65 + 19 with 2X Power Play. Mini Food Mart located at 4730 Cleveland Ave. SW in Canton sold the winning ticket. .png "Powerball-2x$110k-10-7-2026-(1).png")
The second winner was in Trumbull County when a Hubbard man won on October 10, 2026. The winning numbers were 1-4-19-33-51+15. The winning ticket was purchased at East End Express of Hubbard located at 853 East Liberty St. in Hubbard.
After mandatory state and federal taxes of 26.75%, the winners will each receive $73,250.
The odds of the wins are 1 in 913,129.
Each Powerball ticket costs $2. Players have the option to purchase the Power Play® option for an additional $1.00 which multiplies a prize up to ten times.
Powerball drawings are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, at 10:59pm. The estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday is $600 million. If you want to try your luck, purchased your tickets before pools close at 10:00 pm. October 17, 2026.
