“My mom was with me while I was scratching the ticket,” she recalled. “We both cried when I won.”
Glover bought her lucky $1,000,000 Bonus Match ticket from Minuteman Food Mart on North Fifth Street in Saint Pauls.
“My nerves were through the roof,” Glover laughed recalling her winning moment. “It was just unreal and overwhelming.”
When Glover arrived at lottery headquarters on Friday, she had a decision to make. She could choose to receive her prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000. She chose the lump sum of $600,000 and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $432,063.
