A lucky couple in Mexico won $50,000 after the husband fulfilled his wife’s request for a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket.
“I just felt lucky and I told him, ‘I need a ticket today!’” she laughed.
The “500X Payout” Scratchers ticket he purchased at XPress Mart, 1411 W. Monroe St., revealed one of the games’ $50,000 prizes.
“I always thought, ‘I’m never going to win like that!’” she laughed. “It feels good.”
“500X Payout” players have won more than $51.9 million in prizes since the game was released in March. Currently, there are over $208.3 million in prizes unclaimed, including two top prizes of $5 million, three second-tier $1 million prizes and 40 additional $50,000 prizes.
In FY26, Audrain County players won more than $4.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $430,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $715,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
