WyoLotto ® transfers over $700K to Wyoming’s cities, towns, counties

Cheyenne, Wyoming Oct. 5, 2026 -

WyoLotto officials announced that the quarterly revenue transfer in April to Wyoming cities, towns and counties is $714,218.54.

Each quarter, WyoLotto transfers a statutory amount of 75 percent or more of net revenue to the State Treasurer, where it is then distributed to Wyoming’s cities, towns and counties.

This brings the running total to $48.1 million going directly back to the state from WyoLotto since launch in 2014.

“Our mission is clear, maximize giving back to Wyoming. We do that through fiscal responsibility and transferring all that we can back to the state, which is usually more than the 75 percent statutory mandate,” Clontz continued, “We exist because of our incredible players and supporters in Wyoming, so it is our honor to give back as much as we can.”

Clontz added that jackpots play a major role in WyoLotto sales, so when jackpots are high and sales are high, then transfers to the state are of course high. “This last quarter has been tricky for us to navigate lower jackpots, increased costs of groceries and fuel, increased gaming competition, new game development costs, and our favorite game Cowboy Draw was won right at the end of the quarter. All of this impacts sales and we have to respond accordingly,” Clontz said.

WyoLotto has been making quarterly transfers to Wyoming’s cities, towns and counties since April 2016, with a mission to maximize giving back to Wyoming. The company launched in August of 2014 after the Wyoming Legislature and Governor Matt Mead signed into law the bill allowing the creation of a lottery.

The bill also outlined that the creation could not be carried out with any state funding, so the WyoLotto Board of Directors and CEO Jon Clontz secured a start-up loan. That loan was paid off early in January of 2016, allowing the first net revenue transfer mandated by statute to occur in April 2016 for more than $1 million.
