How to Play Pick 3

Overview
Pick 3 is Ohio’s three-digit daily numbers game. Pick three digits from 0–9 and a play type such as Straight, Box, Wheel, Back-up, or Pair plays. Wagers start at $0.50 — a Straight hit pays $250 on 50¢ and $500 on $1 (1 in 1,000). Midday draws at 12:29 p.m. ET and evening at 7:29 p.m. ET.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 3 numbers
Choose 3 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Choose Straight, Box, or Pair
Straight is exact order. Box wins in any order (3-way or 6-way depending on repeated digits). Front Pair, Back Pair, and Split Pair match two digits in set positions.
3. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
