How to Play Pick 4
Overview
Pick 4 is Ohio’s four-digit daily game. Pick four digits from 0–9 with play types such as Straight, Box (4-way through 24-way), Back-up, and Wheel. Wagers start at $0.50 — Straight pays $2,500 on 50¢ and $5,000 on $1 (1 in 10,000). Midday at 12:29 p.m. ET and evening at 7:29 p.m. ET.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 4 numbers
Choose 4 numbers from 0 to 9, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Straight or Box
Straight requires exact order. Box covers permutations; the prize tier depends on how many ways your digits can arrange (4-way, 6-way, 12-way, or 24-way).
3. Choose how many drawings
Pay $0.50 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
