Overview
Bank a Million is Virginia’s twice-weekly lotto: pick six numbers from 1–40 for a minimum $2 ticket. A Bonus Ball is drawn from the same pool after the six main balls. Matching all six on a $2 wager is advertised as $1,000,000 after required federal and state tax withholdings. Draws Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. ET.
How to play — step by step
1. Select 6 numbers
Choose 6 numbers from 1 to 40, or mark Quick Pick and let the terminal choose.
2. Select 1 bonus number
Choose 1 bonus number from 1 to 40. This ball is drawn separately from the main numbers.
3. Play Your Way wagering
Wagers must total at least $2 per ticket. You can put $2 on one set of numbers, $1 on two sets, or 50¢ on four sets — each wager amount must total $2 (no split mixes).
4. Choose how many drawings
Pay $2 per play (add-ons cost extra). Tell the retailer how many consecutive drawings you want, or mark Advance Play on the slip.
