Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $716 Million for Tonight’s Drawing

A Michigan Lottery player could be in for an early Halloween treat if they win tonight’s $716 million Powerball jackpot! The cash option for the jackpot is $307.2 million.

If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, it would be the seventh time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it would also mark the second largest Powerball jackpot won this year. Tonight’s drawing will be the 33rd drawing since the jackpot was last won on Aug. 12 when one ticket purchased in Illinois won the $1.04 billion jackpot.

Since the Powerball jackpot run began Aug. 15, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $3.8 million in prizes, including one $1 million prize. That prize was won on Oct. 19 with a ticket bought at the Kroger store, located at 2200 East 12 Mile Road in Royal Oak.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2024, by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won an $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.

Retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. tonight. Tickets also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.
