A winner in tonight’s Powerball drawing would have the choice of taking home the $467 million jackpot as an annuity or $192.4 million in cash.
A winner in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing would have the choice of taking home the $345 million jackpot as an annuity or $139.6 million in cash.
As the jackpots continue to climb, players are taking home other nice wins:
- Saturday’s Powerball drawing saw a lucky North Carolinian win a $100,000 prize. The winning ticket came from 55 Fast Stop on Mt. Olive Drive in Newton Grove.
- Friday’s Mega Millions drawing saw a lucky North Carolinian win a $20,000 prize. The winning ticket came from the Refuel on Dabney Drive in Henderson.
“These big Mega Millions and Powerball wins show there are so many different ways to win nice prizes,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Check your tickets carefully and have fun playing for the big jackpots this week.”
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
