Picayune Powerball Ticket Wins $100,000 with Power Play

A Picayune player is just one ticket check away from discovering they’re $100,000 richer. A Powerball ticket purchased at Clark Oil Company 37, matched four of the five white-ball numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing, and thanks to the $1 Power Play add-on, the prize doubled from $50,000 to $100,000.

The winning ticket has yet to be claimed, leaving open the possibility that its owner has no idea a six-figure payday is waiting. The win continues a wave of Powerball success across Mississippi since the start of the fiscal year, including a $1 million winner in Tupelo, a $100,000 prize in Purvis, and a string of $50,000 prizes in McComb, Gulfport, Flowood, Jackson and Pascagoula.

Now, with the jackpot rolling to an estimated $232 million for Saturday’s drawing, players across the state have one more reason to imagine what could happen when the numbers finally line up.
