The Maryland-only jackpot game Multi-Match produced its fourth jackpot winner of 2026 and the second in the past 18 days on Thursday when a ticket sold in Towson matched all six numbers drawn.
The hot spot that sold the ticket was the Towson Shell station at 935 York Road. For selling the jackpot winner, the gas station picks up a bonus of $1,000.
The winning numbers for the Sept. 17 drawing are: 17, 18, 19, 29, 40 and 42.
The winner has the choice of either receiving an estimated $540,000 in in 25 equal annual payments, or can take home a one-time payout (before taxes) of an estimated $290,000.
This is the first Multi-Match jackpot winner since Aug. 31 when a Riverdale man won $4.2 million.
In addition to the jackpot, 19,627 players across Maryland won prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000 by matching three or more numbers drawn, with 19 of those wins being worth $1,000 each.
The next Multi-Match drawing is Monday, when the jackpot resets to an annuity value of $500,000. Multi-Match tickets cost $2 per play, and each play includes three chances to win the top prize.
Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe location. The player has 182 days after the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
